“One flew over the cuckoo’s nest”, the movie that swooped 7 Oscar’s, came out today 46 years ago.

Jack Nicholson starred as Randel McMurphy in the movie that changed the mindset of many in the USA. It’s plot follows McMurphy, a mental patient hospitalized in a psychiatric institution and is opposing its methods of the residents. The movie came with a major public debate around the methods these hospitals use to treat the ill- Lobotomy, Shock therapy and forced hospitalizations.
