While appearing at the Shavuot festival dance in Kibbutz Magal, Gideon Eiges, the author of this book, met Miriam Ben-Dov Gefel. They continued to dance together
for the next 56 years, until their last dance in a Cyprus tavern, three months before Miriam succumbed to cancer.
Gideon Eiges has gathered together remnants of his wife’s life, using documents, letters, interviews, testimonials, eulogies
and memories of those who loved her. He has created a tapestry of her fascinating and meaningful life which began in Lvov, Poland during World War II in which she lost her parents and was hid in the mountains of Poland. Miriam, who didn't have a chance to experience love as a girl, gave infinite love to everyone around her and she was dearly loved in return by all those who knew her.
